Reveries is a fan written and produced graphic novel based on Sleep Token’s lyrics and themes.

Hi!

Thanks for checking out our Graphic Novel!

For a long time I've thought that the Sleep Token universe lent itself well to the idea of a comic or animated piece of media that dove further into the depths of the lore. Whether you think the lore is all fan made, or are a fervent believer in Vessel's ascension, you can't argue that the words painted through the music are not captivating and full of life.

Since finding Sleep Token in 2018 when Jaws came out, I've been hooked on the lore. The music videos, the masks, puzzles, and more, all intrigued me. I wanted the larger story. I needed it. The mind makes connections - that's what they've evolved to do. I could not stop myself from making these connections between songs and what that implies. The songs seem to not only have a story, but seem to be part of something bigger with direct references, thematic callbacks, and more.

This graphic novel was born out of these connections that I plucked out of the air, like red string entangling the ideas. While I have some experience writing, my talent in digital and physical art is lacking. I consider myself lucky enough to know a few talented artists that I've met through this band. I proposed the idea and they all jumped on board, frothing at the maw.

What you'll find inside is a comic devoid of conversation - it is the actions of the comic where you will find connections to the lore and lyrics. When I wrote out these stories, I tried to be detailed in my vision - in essence they are storied art direction.

I never thought I would see my words come to life, I've always wanted to create fun things. I cannot express how thankful I am to the people that volunteered to work on this, poured their heart and soul into each frame, and pushed their skills to new heights to match my crazy vision. Thank you.

And thank you for reading - I truly hope you enjoy this project.

Hello there. I'm 𓆜𓆝𓆛𓆟𓆞, I think the ocean is really cool, and the lovely community here inspired me to start drawing again! It was an honor to help facilitate the assembly and completion of this amazing body of work.

Hello, I am Eli, I helped brilliant Popacat to do the line art for the novel! I am really happy to be, may be small, part of this project and I am very proud of everyone’s hard work here.

Hey everyone! I’m Red, I’m an aspiring promotional designer, and while I wasn’t able to help on this project a ton, I’m blown away by everything the team has put together. Fun fact - the band has gotten a copy of my piece in this book! Worship y’all <3

DumbBullet on all other platforms!

I’m a graphic designer and digital artist, but for as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to make comics. Through this project, and through the endless amount of inspiration that Sleep Token has brought me since finding them in February 2023, I’ve made over 50 pages of sequential art in the past year. I’ll be forever grateful to this little community for facilitating that dream. <3

Lace

Hi there! I'm a fledgling illustrator, utter goof, and part-time puzzler. Because of the fun projects I've been part of and the mind-bogglingly talented folks that make up our small corner of this fan community, I've been entirely reenergized to create for the sheer joy of it. Each of them has inspired me and reaffirmed that I shouldn’t give up on doing what I love, imposter syndrome be damned. ❤️ Much love and thanks to all of you that took part or supported this endeavor.

Heyo! I’m Xen! I’m an illustrator, photographer, and I like to bother bands on the internet with stupid memes. In the past two and a half years, I’ve grown so much as an artist and a person by interacting with the amazing fan community that’s been built around Sleep Token. It’s been such a joy working on this project which has, yet again, helped me step out of my comfort zone with my art. For all of the contributors, thank you all for working on this comic! <3

I’m honored to have taken part in such an amazing project and grateful for the opportunity to grow as an artist and learn from so many incredible people while working outside my comfort zone. Sleep token has always pushed me to grow as an artist and a person, and I hope to have shared my appreciation for this band and this lovely and supportive community through my work. Worship.

Hey y’all! I’m Mila, an artist and illustrator based in the ancient woods of Poland. I draw my comics and illustrations traditionally. My life goal is to stick my feet in every named body of saltwater (admittedly undecided on the Arctic and Antarctic Oceans).

Nelandra

Hello friends! My name is Nelandra, but everybody is more than welcome to call me Nel.

This has been my first project of this size, and I am so incredibly proud of everybody that has been part of this project. I am incredibly honored to be part of this. Can't wait for the next one!

I also may or may not have listened to Alkaline an embarrassing amount of times during this...

Scarletgenesis

Hello all! I'm Scarlet, and I'm incredibly proud to have my little piece grace the walls of this project. I dabble in art and am in awe of the talent that came together to create this. I primarily work in watercolor, acrylic, and mixed media and am so proud to be part of this amazing community.

Lucense

Hi! I’m Lucense, I’m an artist and photographer and seldom a memer and writer. I like things to do with nature and the sea (and cats), I like loud, heavy and often pretty, sad noises, and I love being able to contribute something to this incredible project, even if it’s just dumb doodles.

This project has fourteen parts

Some more obvious than others

All equally important.

No vessels were harmed in the making of this graphic novel, unless the band reads this, in which case we are sorry.

Worship.
